Product Description The D-Link DUB-H4 2.0 is a Hi-Speed Universal Serial Bus 2.0 4-port hub with backward compatibility to USB 1.0 and 1.1. It provides an out of the box industry standard that allows connection of up to four USB peripherals or devices to your USB ready PC or Mac. The D-Link DUB-H4 is targeted at PC and Mac users that are expanding the number of USB ports on their system. The D-Link DUB-H4 2.0 is designed to provide quick and easy access to the four type "A" downstream ports for connecting USB peripherals, devices or other USB hubs. A single type "B" upstream port connects the DUB-H4 to the host computer, or another USB hub enabling up to 127 devices to be connected by cascading multiple hubs. Configured directly by the operating system, the D-Link DUB-H4 2.0 operates seamlessly with both Microsoft Windows and Apple Macintosh Operating Systems. As a standard USB hub, the D-Link DUB-H4 buffers USB data from any attached peripheral in compliance with USB specifications to provide an invisible extension of the USB bus. Supporting both low speed (1.5 Mbps and 12Mbps) and Hi-speed (480 Mbps) devices, each port creates a bridge between the peripheral and host computer. Diagnostic LED's located on the top of the device provide power state (self-power) and port status on each port. The DUB-H4 2.0 is packaged with all necessary documentation, a 6-foot hi-speed USB 2.0 'A' to 'B' cable and an AC power supply to ensure that the user is able to easily and quickly install and use the device.

Port Indicator Lights August 29, 2010 Sherman H. Grossman (Needham, MA United States) This device works just fine. But ALL 4 port-specific indicator LEDs illuminate when just one device is plugged in rather than just the LED(s) associated with the port(s) in use. This has no effect on functionality, but seems as if it can be misleading if a quick glance at the hub is supposed to tell the user which ports have devices in use. D-Link tech support says this is "normal."
D-Link might as well have used only one LED - besides the LED showing the hub is getting power from its power supply - to indicate at least one device was plugged in.
No fuss August 27, 2010 polecat I use this at home on my netbook, which only has 3 usb ports. I didn't want to take up 2 of the ports with a usb powered hub, so I chose this one which is powered by an outlet. I just plugged everything in--printer, mouse, keyboard, and storage drive--and everything started working fine, no fuss.
Works as it Should July 19, 2010 Zach Hudson (Michigan) It is a USB hub so there isn't much to talk about. It works like it should and I haven't had any issues with it. Good device for the price.
Works as Advertised June 20, 2010 Charles D. Pearson (Adrian, MI United States) This unit has its own power, improving the odds that it can handle four devices. I have had no problems with it with as many as four devices connected to it.
USB 2.0 Hub June 11, 2010 M. Patel (Tampa, Fl) I was looking for 2.0 hub for my various devices, and after reading the other reviews, I choose this one. I've had good experiences with other D-Link hardware, and this fit the bill. I've experienced no problems with any of the drives or equipment used on the hub.
